Discovery Semiconductors introduces a high gain 40 Gb optical receiver, model R404HG. This optical receiver is being delivered for 40 Gb NRZ applications with its adoption for production runs in Europe and Japan. Operating with a transimpedance of 250 ohms and high responsivity of 0.6 A/W for the entire C and L bands, this receiver is offered in a compact hermetic package. Delivery is with the customer's choice of optical input connector and a type V coaxial RF output.
